Our Stories can Change Lives by Bringing Hope to Those who are Struggling – Share your Story

0

We are putting together a compilation of stories by real women who have recovered—or are recovering—from eating disorders/disordered eating.

The intended audience is people in the midst of an eating disorder or people whose loved ones are suffering. While we expect the stories to share the pain and suffering of eating disorders, we want the focus to be on the journey to recovery so that we can provide hope for others.

If you are interested in sharing your story, please introduce yourself below (maximum 500 words). Tell us a little about the story you would like to share. You can either write your own story or participate in a phone or in-person interview with Catherine, and she will transcribe/present your story. There will be some flexibility, but essays will likely be between 2,000 and 7,500 words. You may have your story published anonymously if you prefer.

We are unable to pay for submissions. We will, however, provide a free copy of the book to all contributors. We will donate a portion of the proceeds from the book to the National Eating Disorders Association, which works to support people affected by eating disorders.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! We firmly believe our stories can change lives by bringing hope to those who are struggling.
