Welcome to Glen Allen KinderCare!

KinderCare has always been a trusted brand and we are so excited to have a new center in our area.  They are now open and enrolling at their newest center in Richmond at Nuckols Rd. With the ability to focus on children from 6 weeks – 12 years and now with 6 centers in the Richmond area (and plans to open more) they meet the needs of Richmond families with programming that is age-appropriate, fun, and developed specifically for their class.  Did you know that they also have summer camp programs? So many offerings at one easy and convenient location!

We recently had the opportunity to attend the Nuckols Rd KinderCare Grand Opening event.  We got to meet the wonderful staff and tour the brand-new center. A few weeks ago we had gotten an exclusive behind the scenes sneak peek as they were getting ready to open. If you missed it and haven’t had a chance to check it out, you can check it out here

The Nuckols Rd KinderCare Center

We were so thrilled to be able to attend the Grand Opening in person and see the center in action.  What an inviting space for little ones and their families! The center is clean and brightly decorated.  Each classroom is decorated with for their class – it feels just like a home away from home. There is nothing sterile about this center and it is evident that the teachers foster hands-on learning.  Each and every room was welcoming, and I really couldn’t wait to see what was next. I would have loved to be in one of those classrooms as a child.

One of the rooms that made the biggest impact on me was the gym.  I had never seen a center that had a gym in it, and there it was right as you came in, welcoming children to come and play.  With the weather, we have here in Richmond – rain in the fall, snow in the winter, or with a hot and humid summer – this gym will help ensure all of the little ones get the opportunity to have physical play throughout the day to get the wiggles out. It is filled with many different activities that can keep the children active even when they can’t go out to play.  The children were having a ball during the Grand Opening – using their imaginations to go “fishing” with their balloon sculpture or having a dance party with the musician – I can really see so many wonderful activities going on inside this wonderful space.

Meeting the Staff

At the Grand Opening Tea Party, we had the opportunity to meet and talk with the Nuckols Rd staff.  They were so warm and inviting and full of fantastic information, not only about the center – but about the developmental stages of the children that would be in their classrooms. Their caring and enthusiasm for working with children is undeniable and I couldn’t help smiling meeting them all.  As they took me around their classrooms, I was excited to hear about how their day ran and all of the amazing things that the children get to participate in. It was very clear that they all took the high standards of KinderCare very seriously – they are not only taking care of our children in a nurturing manner – they are educators, and safety drivers, and everything you want in a person who will be with your child during the day!

As a mom, choosing the right childcare center for our children is one of the most important decisions that we make. Taking the time to spend a morning in a center provided me with so much information and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to check out KinderCare Nuckols Rd.  With a staff that is caring and passionate and a location that is convenient and easy to get to you should really stop by and check it out. It really is a great place for your little one.
