My Favorite Fall Comfort Foods

Oh, Fall, how we love you!

Cooler temps, layered clothes, pumpkin spice everything, aaand…the ability to put on a few pounds without anyone noticing thanks to the aforementioned layered clothes.

Along those lines, my favorite fall comfort foods tend to be on the weightier side of the scale, if you know what I mean. Creamy soups, crusty bread, and indulgent muffins (which I like to pretend are a healthy breakfast). You too? Say yes, and let’s be friends.

Today I’m sharing five of my favorite fall comfort foods ranging from semi-healthy to rather indulgent. Just put on a puffy vest, girlfriend, and join me in the kitchen, mkay?

Let’s start with 3 of my favorite soups:

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Guys, this is a slow cooker soup, that’s spicy, cheesy, and topped with chips. Does it even get better than this??

Cauliflower Soup

Don’t be a hater. I know cauliflower soup sounds absolutely like your worst nightmare, but here is my reason for you to try it: My husband and children like it. I mean, I don’t know what that means to YOU, but for me, it means this one’s a keeper! (Both the recipe and the husband. In case you were wondering.)

Zuppa Toscana

Zuppa Toscana has always been my favorite soup at Olive Garden. This recipe is creamy and delicious with just a little spicy kick to keep things interesting.

Now, you’ll definitely want some carbs to go with those soups, right?

Here are two of my favorite bread recipes:

Garlic Herb Braid

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Oh my goodness, these muffins. They definitely take time to make. BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT…worth the time and the calories, my friends. Just make sure you have accountability around when they come out of the oven or you may eat them all. On second thought, maybe you should make a party out of it. A pumpkin cream cheese muffin party. Yes. That has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Make these. Your tastebuds will thank you.

So, those are 5 of my favorite fall recipes. And now I’m hungry!

Tell me…what are your favorite fall comfort foods? Share in the comments; I’m always on the hunt for a good recipe!
